About Us

People's Rights Inc has a seven member Committee and employs a coordinator on a part time basis. We were formed in May 2003 in response to the Victorian Government's legislation removing the rights of Victorians to receive compensation when not passing the threshold for permanent impairment. People's Rights is supported by the Victorian Council for Social Services, Victorian Trades Hall Council, Australian Lawyers Alliance, Federation of Community Legal Centres the Consumer Law Centre of Victoria and the Law Institute of Victoria, progressive law firms and the general public.
